Give Yourself Permission
Give Yourself These Permissions:
To be happy.
To be proud.
To be shattered.
To be jealous.
To be overjoyed.
To be broken.
To be unsure.
To be hysterical.
To be enraged.
To be numb.
To be confused.
To be in transition.
Whatever our condition or feeling, we often think we need to keep it to ourselves. We need to hold it close, shield it from others.
We don’t want to them to look down on us. To challenge us.
To question us.
To judge us.
To fear us.
To misunderstand us.
So we dampen our joy, our proud moments. We downplay our accomplishments & offerings. We mask our anger & frustration. We conceal our grief and we shoulder on.
Give Yourself Permission to Own Your Feelings
But what would it be like to OWN your feelings? What would it feel like to wear them unapologetically? What would it look like if we all leaned in a little harder? If we all honored our truth?
When we meet ourselves where we’re at— happy or sad, confused or resolute, we give permission to others to do the same.
Give Yourself Permission
Permission.
You’re used to asking for it from others, but what would it look like if you wore your feelings openly & in doing so gave permission for others to do the same?
It would look like a ripple effect of liberation and grace. Of power and vulnerability. Of relief and strength.
When we give ourselves permission, we empower others to do the same. And that is magic.
