Are You Living Your Life on Your Own Terms?
Being a work from home mompreneur.
Living Life On My Own Terms - Creating a Schedule That Fits ME
It’s been my dream since before I had a baby- to be at home, creating my own schedule, working in spurts throughout the day while looking after my children. Having creative freedom, working outside, in bed, or in my kitchen. Loving my work so much that I can truly integrate it with my life. It’s truly a gift to have the flexibility that I do and it’s something I’ll never take for granted.
AND- it’s hard. As Bruce’s primary caregiver with 15 hours per week of childcare from grandparents, I find that I sometimes have to go days without working or I end up distractedly working- giving my full attention neither to Bruce nor to creating. I find that when I have a creative burst of energy or download that I want to flow with, I’m making peanut butter sandwiches or chasing after my sweet boy. I find that when I want to gaze at my son and interact with him, that’s the time that I have to work instead. Wednesdays are the only day I can count on to have work time. The other day of care we are fortunate to receive from our parents is floating- we don’t know what day of the week it will be until a few days beforehand. It can tough to take on new clients and schedule them I advance.
Living Life On My Own Terms - Making It Work + Serving Moms
But, we make it work. We make it work because to me, there is no other option. Serving moms, creating a sacred space for them to connect and grow, helping women unlock their potential and fierce power, educating and creating from my home.... it fits. So it’s worth the hard moments. It’s worth the uncertainty. Where I have to sacrifice, I reap back so much more.
Living Life On My Own Terms - Permission to Not Have It All Figured Out
Why do I tell you this? A few reasons- one because I want you to know that I DO NOT have it all together. It’s not all figured out. It’s not all simple and seamless. It’s raw and it’s challenging. I also tell you this because you can have this too— this version of you that gets to set down society’s expectations and instead listen to your heart, your soul, your intuition. You deserve to chase your dreams. To juggle, to strive, to reach, to balance. To do YOU.
Are you living life on your terms? I’d love to walk alongside you and help you in this journey of creating the life you desire.
